Madrid-Barajas: M‑30 flat fare, rank and trips beyond the centre

The €33 fare depends on the M‑30 boundary, not merely a Madrid address label.

The short answer

Aena publishes a €33 flat fare between MAD and addresses inside the M‑30, all year and at any hour. Outside that boundary, do not reuse the flat fare to calculate your trip.

Checklist before you ride

  1. Check airport code and terminal
  2. Save address and accommodation entrance
  3. Confirm seats, luggage, fare and payment
  4. Keep meeting point and contact offline

Understand the decision

01

Airport and address

Save MAD, terminal and full address, then check its position relative to the M‑30. An airport or exhibition hotel is not automatically inside the fixed-fare zone. Specify the return-flight terminal too.

02

Pickup

Signed ranks are outside arrivals at all terminals. Aena describes official taxis as white with a red stripe and Madrid coat of arms on the doors. Avoid offers inside terminals and request a receipt.

03

Fare and conditions

Fare 4 at €33 has no supplement or fixed booking addition; Aena notes waiting rules if a passenger misses an agreed meeting time. For departures from terminals beyond the M‑30, fare 3 starts at €22 for 9 km or equivalent initial time, then the meter continues. This minimum does not apply to arranged services.

04

Choose the complete journey

Compare whole-group cost and the last leg from rail or metro. For an address outside the zone, ask for the applicable rule rather than a city-centre price promise. Keep the written address: the destination determines the fare case.

Common questions

Does Madrid’s €33 fare cover every address?

No. It covers Barajas journeys to or from inside the M‑30. For an outside address, check the applicable tariff rather than substituting this fare for the meter or special rule.

What document should I keep?

Keep the receipt and booking with date, route and vehicle reference. These identify the operator for lost property or a fare question.

How should I compare public transport?

Calculate cost for the whole group, connections and the last leg to your accommodation. Check services at your actual arrival and access with luggage.

Sources and scope

Rules, fares and availability vary by place and can change. These official examples support the method; use the destination page and local authority for the current rule.

Plan and compare your transfer — Compare the group cost using real quotes and ticket prices in the same currency. Then print the checks to complete before departure.
